Bangladesh – Day 2 – 2018

Today we leave Dhaka and head out to Rajshahi through a floodplain and over the Bangabandu Bridge over the Braumaputra River.

We stop in Puthia, a small town famous for it’s Hindu temples and a looming Palace on our way to Rajshahi. There are giant homes here that were owned by the Hindu rich and elite during the Raj era. The homes are a mix of Greek and Victorian styles.

We arrived late in the day at the large university town of Rajshahi, on the banks of the Ganges. We took a walk along the river in the evening with the locals. We aren’t in Huntington Beach anymore.
