Scandinavia – Russian Cruise – 2008 – Sailing Home

June 14 and 15 – Days 11 and 12 – Sadly we had to leave Talin and return home. The cruise home was two wonderful days back to London.

Perhaps I was born a century or two, too late. I love the slow pace of a cruise. It gives one time to think and examine what has been seen and learned.

We met many wonderful people and were tended to by a wonderful staff.

If you go through the world looking for trouble, you will surely find it. We have friends who were robbed in Russia. Yes, bad things do happen to good people, but that’s no reason to stay home and not see the world.

In a few short weeks we are off to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

I know it will be a wonderful trip. My wife will be with me, the love of my life, and we will meet many kind and interesting people. Why would I stay at home and miss that?

In a few months were are going to Turkmenistan,Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

I don’t anticipate anything bad happening. I’m sure I will meet many lovely and interesting people. I will not hide in my home fearing the unknown. I gladly go in search of it.

I write under the name R. C. Matthews. I have several novels and novellas on Amazon now. Look at The Adventures of the Smith Family on Amazon. It is free in the Kindle lending library along with the follow up novel, “Sailing Away.”

I am now on Facebook at R.C. Hand.

Happy traveling.

Queen of Norway coming back from shopping. Yes, true. Very little security by the way. A calmer time I guess.
