Day 6, Friday April 26 – What’s that smell?

We have been riding around the countryside in a large newish bus. The air has smelled like natural gas since the beginning of the tour.

The area around us is full of factories and I thought that they were making gas from crude oil. The air is hazy and I presumed the smell was in the air.

I was wrong. It was the bus.

There must be a leak in the fuel line somewhere. Thank goodness we are nearly finished with this bus. It has been a little uncomfortable to say the least.

All we have to do now is get to the border with Tajikistan and leave this thing behind us.
