I have threatened you with a little of my family history in the past. With the anniversary of the Mayflower’s landing in America, I was reminded of those threats.

I had several distant family members on board that little, uncomfortable, sailing ship.

My family members were not happy in England for various reasons and decided an unknown fate on the sea was better than the known one they faced in England.

I am related to many of the royal families in Europe due to the intermarrying that went on for so many centuries there. I suppose at the time it seemed like a good idea. New scientific knowledge now has shown us that perhaps it was not.

As with the Egyptians and other groups around the world who married their close relatives, physical and mental issues do arise from these practices. I won’t go into detail here as it tends to be embarrassing.
