I will be posting more of “Joe in Africa” tomorrow.
I have several chapters already written and am reviewing them as I post them every few days. Things are going well with this free book at the moment.
I’m not sure what will happen in the distant future of this story. It is going along well so far so I won’t worry or complain at this point. Those two actions don’t move the ball forward most of the time.
I suppose if I did this to make a living I would be more concerned. However, I have already set myself and my family up very well after years of hard work and dedication to my work over fifty or more years.
My life has been very interesting for some reason. Perhaps more interesting than than necessary one might say.
But those experiences give me some insights that others may not have had to develop. I have started my autobiography and may finish it at some point. I do give examples of interesting occurrences over my lifetime on my website. “A shot in the dark,” is one example.
Things are going to start popping very soon in this story. If you have stayed with me you will be rewarded. I did this same African trip last year so it is still fresh in my mind.
I came across an article about Karen Blixen who wrote “Out of Africa” under the name, Isak Dinesen. It was very interesting. She had a sad, interesting and remarkable life.
I went past her coffee plantation while in Kenya and learned a little about her. She was a brave and very hard working woman who picked, perhaps, not the best men for her.
I play tennis in the morning and then will post my newest installment in the afternoon. I’m in California, by the way.
This is my back yard after decades of long and hard days at work.
