This is a fun historical ghost story set in “Gold Rush” era California. It is filled with many of my imaginary friends and a few real historical figures.

The story is told by Tom Carpenter, the son of the town doctor and a doctor himself. He’s also well versed in art, having been an art minor in college.

That will become important soon enough as the house is filled with some of the best art in the world.

The original owner, Mr. Hart was a wealthy stockbroker and avid art collector. He moved the best pieces of his vast art collection here to The House On The Cliff.

The Carpenter family has watched over this interesting mansion for three generations.

The house is about as creepy as it looks at first, but Tom’s wife will change that after he buys it without her permission.
