Chapter 19
Todd Jacobson pushed the “on” button and his computer buzzed to life. He tapped his fingers on the desk while waiting for it to “boot up.”
He looked for the pages with the email addresses of all the proper authorities around the world on it. It was a long list on several pages. He noted the typos and wondered. It was a very long list. He wasn’t known for his patience at work or at home. He scanned the list until he found what he had been looking for.
Todd had worked for the FBI for several years now and with the Securities and Exchange Commission occasionally.
He had finally been given the green light by his bosses to contact Interpol in London, the police in Rwanda and perhaps other African nations regarding the Williams Investigation. Chad’s honeymoon trip to Rwanda and perhaps other African nations made that a necessity now.
Todd would be asking for help in setting up surveillance teams on Chad and Suzan Williams while they were in Africa. He thought it would take a good deal of time and red tape to put these things in motion in Kigali Rwanda.
As far as the Securities and Exchange Commission was concerned, Chad Williams and his father were deep into a multi million dollar stock manipulation scam and they and the FBI needed help from the Rwandan authorities as the new Mr. and Mrs. Williams were leaving the country for Africa.
The case wasn’t ready to make arrests, just yet. The two organization’s hoped to have eyes watching their every move in their hotels and on their long honeymoon in Rwanda and on the rest of the trip. They also hoped to gather more information on Chad through his international phone calls which were now being monitored.
The two departments hoped to have people watching their every move in their hotels and on their long vacation in Rwanda and on the rest of the trip.
The FBI wasn’t sure how many more suspects there were in the wide ranging scam. In any case, they suspected Chad’s family members were all equally responsible and involved until proven otherwise.
The FBI had access to to U.S. Satellite resources. Interpol’s new and improved satellite phone recovery software was now up and running and might help as well, but it was a newer system and not yet proven. There had been problems in the recent past. The U.S. was also tapped into the Pegasus system developed by Israel.
Phone calls monitored between father and sons had supported the investigation. The investigation had started after there were several complaints from clients and family members about irregularities in their monthly stock statements that couldn’t be explained away easily by the Williams.
A new network of cooperation had been hammered out and was being run jointly by the FBI with the Securities and Exchange Commission following suit. That cooperation hadn’t come easily but had finally been arranged.
Chad’s U.S. calls were already being recorded for this investigation. Interception of his international calls would now be made easier after this new cooperation between Interpol, Israel and Rwandan authorities started to work together.
Recently launched Israeli, U.S. Satellites and Rwandan cooperation might now help this case move forward.

Have you started your book yet?
Much more to come later today.
I just recently celebrated my 74th birthday. I am still 30 in my head.
We recently lost our trip to Iran due to circumstances beyond our control. We will be going to Albania and The Cross Roads of the Adriatic instead.
My novel, “Sailing Away” covers that part of the world in some detail while the Ever Ready is on a long sailing voyage of trade and discovery for, the main character, Sam.
The large three masted sailing ship leaves “The Pool” in London while the Revolution in America is still raging, sails through the Mediterranean and down the west coat of Africa to Cape Town Colony. The ship stops in many interesting places with some dangerous events along the way.
We learn more about the slave trade and who named the countries on the west coast of Africa among other things.
Are you familiar with the roads that run on the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea? Satellite photos confirm them. Some interesting stories from lost history may be coming our way in the future. We know far less about our world than we might want to admit.
