My brother and I used to boogie board on the north side of HB pier in the seventies and eighties.
We were a couple of the old guys out there at the time.
We used to paddle out under the pier and have a blast.
We were out there a few days before the pier went down and road a couple of waves as big as a house. One wave was plenty.
It was like getting shot out of a cannon. What a blast.
I don’t see myself out there again, but it was good while it lasted.
Nothing lasts forever. Remember that and take a risk once in a while.
Read “The Adventures of the Smith Family,” my first novel. It is quite an adventure.
Google me at R. C. Hand, author to learn more about me and my novels.
