My wife and I had a great trip to Africa a few years ago.

I have written about the trip on my travel blog.

Please take a look at it if you haven’t already.

We loved the five countries that we visited and the great and friendly people we met there.

We were fortunate to see the “Big five,” while going to the game parks and meeting so many interesting people from all over the world.

We had been to North Africa a few years back.

I have a portion of my novel “Sailing Away,” take place in Morocco.

That part of the story involves a sailor and the daughter of a rich merchant family and their difficulties with a relationship between a westerner and a Moroccan woman in the late 1700’s.

Some of these issues remain today.

We loved that country with it’s varied landscape and historical ruins there.

We are going to Egypt next year for a wonderful river cruise and hope to see as much of the country as possible. We are starting in Alexandrea and I hope to see the site where the burial place of Alexander is being looked for.

There is so much history and adventure there that one must go back time and again.

I especially want to say hello to my special friend and his family in Zimbabwe, along with everyone else living there.

We hope that the new year brings you all that you need and desire.
