Sunday, January 30th. Vietnamese Lunar New year

Next weekend is Tet. Tet Nguyen Dan is the most important and most celebrated festival of the year.

It is a time of remembrance and of showing respect for those ancestors that have passed and welcoming the Lunar new Year.

This occurs during the first several days of the lunar calendar beginning with the second new moon after the winter solstice.

Many believe that it sets the tone for the coming year.

Bring a red envelope filled with a little lucky money for the children of your friends when you come to visit.

This time is filled with Lion and dragon dances and fireworks.

Don’t forget to read the first chapter of “Kazu, son of Oshida Kamasaki” on my website. The novel is available on Amazon.
