This photo was taken on the way to Covent Garden Station.

We always stay at The Strand Palace Hotel when in London. The hotel backs up to Covent Garden where there are many restaurants to eat and it’s full of interesting things top see. The Transportation Museum is there as well.

We can walk behind the hotel through Covent Garden to reach Covent Station for the underground.

The hotel is close to the Embankment Station as well. It is just across The Strand and a block away down hill to the Thames.

The trip home was uneventful. The weather in London started off a little rocky with sprinkles but soon turned warmer than here in Southern Ca.

I am nearly back on California time now.

As usual, I kept a daily diary of our adventures and will start posting them today.

This trip was for the wedding of a cousin and to see my wife’s family. But how can you travel through London and it’s outlying neighborhoods and not discover some interesting things.

Just learning the history of the underground system is worth the trip.
