I am taking a few days off for the holiday recognizing our veterans. My wife is a veteran and rightly proud of her service.

We often have conflicting feelings when traveling to countries that may have a different political ideology. We love America and want to see what other people experience under different government systems.

We hope that the money we spend and the medicines that we bring with us will help the people who need it most.

It can be easy for younger people who haven’t traveled to other countries and especially to totalitarian nations to think that different systems might be better than ours. They just are younger, misinformed and lack experiences that would show them the realty of the world. Perhaps we were once just the same.

Please remember our veterans on this holiday and I will be back on Tuesday with more stories of our wonderful trip to Central Asia.
