Bhutan – Thimpu- Day 14 – 2005

We are out on a sightseeing tour again today.

We are going to Timpu, the Capital.

We pass through paddy fields and orchards, pine forests and more small villages. They are all protected by  sculptures of the eight auspicious signs of the Tashi Tagye.

The Bhutanese capital lies in a fertile valley formed by the Wang Chu River.

We are going to see the Tashicho Dzong, the religious and political center of Bhutan.

We will also visit the Memorial Chorten, or shrine, of Bhutan, the Kawasanju Heritage Museum and the Takin Enclosure.

Do you know what the Takin animal is? I’m not going to tell you! It’s very interesting!
