This first chapter of “Sailing Away” that I started to put up the other day isn’t all up yet.
There’s still much more to come.
I will put the rest of it up tonight.
Go to the Dec.12 post to read Chapter One of Sailing Away.
I am busy researching the areas in Virginia that I need to know about for my new Novel, “Prelude to Rome.”
If you live in Africa, please go back into my travel blog and find the portion on our trip a few years back to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and South Africa.
We were in Zimbabwe just when the elections were coming and there were some interesting and dangerous things going on there at that time.
It seems that everywhere we travel to something is always coming to a head. I guess that is the way of the world.
If we let fear and knowledge of danger stop us from traveling the world, we would have never left our little condo.
Thankfully we have been to Hong Kong years ago and will miss what is happening there now.
How this will end is anyone’s guess.
I don’t think it will end well for the brave students who are fighting for the freedom of that beautiful city and really for the freedom of the entire nation of China.
You can help by refusing to buy Chinese products until the government lets the people gain their freedom.
Buy products made in your own country. It will help your local economy and perhaps the Chinese students just a little.
Write to the Chinese embassy in your country and let them know what you think of the totalitarian government of China.
We all can make a little difference in this world if we just try.
