We departed from the ship and boarded a newish bus. We passed through the oldest Chinatown in Canada, saw the Empress Hotel and the Parliament Buildings in the capital of British Columbia.
We had a nice drive through lovely areas and ended up at the Butchart Gardens. It is a family owned affair and the place of one of the worlds premier flower show gardens.
There are over 900 varieties of plants, annuals, flowering trees and aromatic roses.
This was a rock quarry a hundred years ago.
We had a fine lunch there.
